September 9, 2025

Across the country, industries are facing an unprecedented demand for skilled labor, a challenge Oklahoma is meeting head-on through targeted partnerships and strategic investments. In collaboration with the State of Oklahoma, Claremore manufacturers have been leveraging state resources to expand operations, create jobs and strengthen the local economy.
“Our team believes that companies go where they are invited, and stay where they are cultivated,” said Meggie Froman-Knight, Executive Director of Claremore Economic Development. “We are proud to collaborate with the State of Oklahoma, alongside local industry partners, driving more opportunity in Claremore. Our manufacturers aren’t just expanding, they’re setting the pace for the entire state in technology, workforce innovation and long-term investment.”
Through the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program (OIEP) and the Business Expansion Incentive Program (BEIP), existing Rogers County manufacturers have secured over $9 million in competitive program funding in the past year, fueling a 2025 year-to-date total of more than $99 million in new capital investment and creating more than 660 new jobs.
“The opportunities created through Oklahoma’s incentive programs are transforming what’s possible for manufacturers in our state,” said Ben McGregor, Vice President - Oklahoma Division for Basden Steel. “With the combined support of local and state partners, we’re not only expanding our workforce and creating new opportunities for area residents, but also laying the foundation for long-term growth and innovation.”
The 2025 recipients include: AXH Air-Coolers, Basden Steel, EMCO Industries, MST Manufacturing, Pelco Structural, Pryer Aerospace and Stellar Plant Services and represent the strength and diversity of the area’s manufacturing sector.
“At the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, our mission is to foster a business-friendly environment where companies can grow and succeed,” said John Budd, CEO of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. “The progress we have made in Claremore through partnerships with companies that have created hundreds of new jobs and generated millions in capital investment is a powerful example of what we can accomplish together. We want to support businesses that are committed to Oklahoma, which is why 70 percent of our incentives go to companies that are already investing in our state.”
