This hands-on event strives to provide foundation for educators to use in motivating students to develop a maintain career pathways, as well as provide relevance and rigor to STEM
education, training and workforce development.
This year's theme, Rockets and Robo showcased our community's growing aerospace sector, available training programs, and highlighted how the job opportunities within manufacturing can propel students on a high-earning lifetime career path.
Participating manufacturing locations include: MST Manufacturing, Pryer Aerospace and Rye Design. At each facility, educators participated in tours, questions/answer sessions with company leaders regarding career opportunities, and learned more about each company's training requirements and hiring processes and procedures.
All attendees earned six hours professional development and supplemental curriculum information that applicable throughout classrooms, from Kindergarten to Post-Secondary.
The future of our workforce can be found in the classroom. We would like to thank our teaching partners for joining us and for their collaboration in exposing students to the quality career pathways available our region, subsequently changing the misunderstandings surrounding this vital economic sector.
A big thank you to our participating business and industry partners for their role in making this year's event a success!
