Claremore Economic Development named the Northeast Tech 2024 Partner in Progress

Claremore Economic Development was honored to be named the Northeast Tech 2024 Partner in Progress. This distinguished recognition acknowledges a partner's steadfast dedication to enhancing and expanding Oklahoma's workforce. 

Together, our organizations have launched several initiatives aimed at contributing to the professional growth and development of both Northeast Tech students and the local workforce, including the Pre-Engineering Internship. This exciting effort provides students hands-on experiences and professional exposure to real-world engineering practices. We hope this program empowers aspiring engineers to explore their interests, gain practical skills and make informed decisions about their career paths.

In January 2023, Claremore Economic Development, in partnership with the City of Claremore Government, Rogers County, and Northeast Tech, launched a groundbreaking new local talent development initiative targeted at filling regional high-demand job positions. The Rogers County Technical Training Scholarship Program aims to equip Rogers County residents with the skills and knowledge required for high-demand job positions at no cost. We are proud to announce that the pilot program has reached 100% funding fulfillment, providing more than 100 residents with the preparation they need to meet the growing needs in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and childcare. Future workforce scholarship programs are being developed utilizing the technical training initiative as a guide. 

We look forward to our continued partnership with Northeast Tech through our advisory role for the Education Accelerated by Service and Technology (EAST) Program, career fairs, student career placement and other talent development efforts. Together, we are cultivating the next generation of workforce and creating a talent pipeline that is prepared to meet the demands of tomorrow.
