For the past three years, CIEDA has been guided by Executive Director, John Feary. During his first year, John worked tirelessly to strengthen and align community organizations and businesses allowing for productive momentum. His leadership allowed our organization to embrace holistic economic development, broaden our scope to include vital programming such as workforce development, a revamped business retention and expansion program, as well as a new surge in housing development.
On behalf of the CIEDA board and staff, we wish to congratulate John on the announcement of his selection to serve as Claremore’s City Manager. CIEDA looks forward to its continued partnership with the City of Claremore as we work to better the place we call home.
Thank you, John, for your dedication, passion, and commitment to our community. We appreciate your service and recognize how your leadership has forever impacted CIEDA and Rogers County.
I am also excited to announce the appointment of Meggie Froman-Knight as CIEDA’s Interim Executive Director. Meggie previously served as the organization’s Associate Director, and has played a vital role on the CIEDA team for the past four years. Her deep roots in Rogers County, extensive knowledge of our community’s workforce infrastructure and existing relationships with our industrial partners makes Meggie the prime candidate to fill this role. We are excited that she has agreed to serve in this capacity as we continue implementing our transition plan to find a permanent executive staff leader.
